Aphrodite
Meow, my name is Aphrodite. I originally came from Nawlins. Got trucked across the great US of A and landed here in the Bay Area. Got me a nice house where I generously let my foster mom and the other cats live. I am quite the catch. I am a beautiful calico as you can see by my picture. I will grace anybody with my purr and allow them to pet me. I also understand that you want to feed me which is why you will enter the kitchen so often :-). My favorite place is the bathroom (if you leave the door open) because you are a captive audience and must pay attention to me. As with most calicos and torties, I have a very dominant personality. While I love living with my foster mom and siblings, I would like a home of my own. Showcase scares me, so I don't come anymore, but my foster is willing to do home visits to see how I adjust.
Foster Mom's point of view: Ms. Thang is adorable. She is more like a teenager or roommate than pet. She thinks the world exists for her and the rest of us are "allowed" to live here. She is very expressive and interactive. She also thinks, as she mentioned above, that when the human enters the kitchen, it is to feed her. She does not fib when it comes to the restroom fetish. Always remember to close the door!
I love the cali/torti attitude and will never be without one. If I had room, I would keep Dite. She is such a spitfire. Alas, I must let some other family experience the joy, tears, love and grrrness of the calico. For those who have had calis, you know what I am talking about. For those who have had not, you do not know what you are missing.

I was supposed to be released, but my foster momma saw my sweet side and wants me to find a "fur-ever" home. I would like to be able to be indoor/outdoor, but have adapted nicely to indoor only. I will engage in conversation occasionally. I love to visit you in the kitchen, you may drop something!Dog Friendly! |

DSH black kittenI am such a handsome boy with huge round eyes! I have lost my one white whisker though. I love to play with my foster siblings, including the dog. I also like to play with my foster mom (both human and cat). I was raised by December after my momma got sick. I do like my new role as "big brother" to the new fosters. But, as much fun as they are, I would like my own "fur-ever" home. My human foster mom says that although I am stingy with my kisses, I get you right on the nose. She says these kisses mean alot. Brownie is very affectionate boy. He rubs up against you, wants to sit in your lap or lay right next to you. He's even a little bit of a talker. Brownie gets along with other cats and is good with children. |

Sammy is a super sweet tabby. There's nothing wrong with her that a special food won't fix. She's on that food now in her foster home and is just perfect. The problem? She really needs her own home and for whatever reason, we haven't found a permanent home that isn't daunted by that. It's not even a super expensive or hard to find one! She eats Paul Newman Adult Cat Formula. That's it! Please consider taking Sammy home! |

Michael – upon first glance at those liquid amber eyes and the orange markings on his head, you’d think that Michael looks familiar, perhaps he reminds you of an exotic breed, the Turkish Van. Unfortunately, Michael’s markings are the only similarity with regard to that breed. Michael is a very mellow, loving domestic short hair cat. When in a one on one meeting, Michael dominates the scene with his beguiling ways of rolling on the floor, looking up at you and almost begging to be held and loved. He is known to do this to most every stranger he meets, as long as surroundings are not chaotic. Michael is a young male who is determined to have a better life for himself. Abandoned recently, Michael took it upon himself to be found and cared for. He has met up with the right rescue group, because Michael needed some medical attention which requires him to take a small pill once a day for the rest of his life. Michael’s new family will have to be willing to give him the medicine daily and it will cost no more than $2.00 a month to keep the seizures down. Other than the daily medication requirements, Michael wants a family that will spoil him with lots of love and attention. He does get along with other cats who have his easy going temperament. |

Millie aka "Silly Millie" is a black and white short haired kitty. She was born around 5/09. Her siblings are Reggie and Annie. Millie may be small but she is big in personality. Her personality is so sweet and playful. With all the silly things she does it makes it impossible not to fall in love with this girl. She has a loud purr and loves affection. She gets so close to your face that she will then rub her little nose into your nose. When her foster mom is leaning over Millie has a habit of jumping up on top of her back. She is the instigator of all things playful and is very confident. Millie and her sister Annie are very bonded together and would like to be adopted together. Millie is microchipped and has been combo tested which she is Negative for both FIV/FeLV. |

Spotted orange tabby. Approx DOB early-mid May 2009. Hugo is not only super handsome, he is also one super-cool dude. He has a very independent personality and lives life on his terms. He is full of play, ready to chase and tackle is sister or anything else that wiggles. Hugo is very tolerant of small, overly energetic, cat-friendly dogs. He enjoys affection from people, but prefers not to be "suffocated" with snuggles. Hugo is a good choice for anyone wanting a companion cat that isn't needy of a lap.
